Living in Style:The new Hermès Rive Gauche

Hermès just opened their new flagship store in Paris, Rive gauche. Built in a 1935 old swimming pool of 2,500 square meters, decorated by Denis Montel out of amazing disposable wood structures. “It is a new stage for Hermes, confirms Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director. We finally crossed the Seine. What is new for us, is the rise to power of the universe of the house, of arts of the table. We republish the timeless furniture of Jean-Michel Frank. One will explore the carpet, the wallpapers, the furnishing fabric.”

“We had so many clients ask us to do our silk and cashmere prints as fabrics and cushions,” says Hélène Dubrule, general director of Hermès’s home division, “We thought it made sense to put some into production. We are giving our customers a chance to live in Hermès.”

Art & Style: Chocolates with Attitude

I am big fan of original packagings and when we talk about chocolate, I can't say NO!

These chocolates were designed by Danish company Bessermachen DesignStudio in cooperation with the chocolate artist Henrik Konnerup and they are almost like collector items.

12,000 pieces of handmade chocolate have been produced – 1,000 large boxes. Every piece of chocolate weighs 50 grams and can be divided into four squares, each mould with the Brandhouse symbol in the middle.

The packaging patterns range from graffiti and stamps to comic books and music sheets.
Every piece of chocolate and each package design has the same characteristics as the archetypes, thereby showing how to create the personality of the brand through product development as well as packaging design.

Trend Report: Full length skirts

Full length skirts was one of my favourite trends of last season. This year it's once again on the top trend list!
I know you'll think that they are not for everyone - and this is true - but if it does suit you... it can make you look extravagant!

My tip: Wear them with slouchy tees and oversized jumpers.
