Shoot of the week: Hilary Rhoda is a free spirit in Bazaar Russia January

Hilary Rhoda is a cross between bohemian beauty and sixties diva in the January cover shoot of Harper’s Bazaar Russia, photographed by Alan Gelati and styled by Natalia Alaverdian.
I love her natural beauty and my absolute favourite shot is her black & white close up!

Christmas dinner table inspirations

Christmas is here and all of us are getting ready for the usual Christmas dinner with family and friends. If you're the hostess, then you'll probably worrying about having everything perfect. Here are a few ideas on how to decorate your Christmas dinner table!

Choose red as a theme and use berries, ribbons and bows to decorate almost anything you want!

Here's a fresh idea using candies to cover a simple vase, as a masterpiece for the dining table.

Add a special touch to make an everyday chair look particularly festive!

A central arrangement of bare twigs and glossy red berries decorated by red wooden stars and hearts.

This is a Victorian era inspired table with frosted fruits and silver candle holders. The deep purple setting looks stunning!

I love the idea of finding a small gift in my plate!

Just to be sure you've got everything right, here are the "norms" regarding the exact setting of the table.

Chanel Paris Byzance: Atelier Lesage

I am very impressed by these pictures from this magic place, L'Atelier Lesage in Paris, where all the stunning embroideries of the last Chanel collection have been created.

The history of the Atelier starts when the father of François Lesage, Albert Lesage and her mother Marie-Louise Favot, modelist in Madeleine Vionnet, bought the Michonet house in 1924. François Lesage produced her first dress of haute couture in 1950. Since then, it accomodates in its workshops all the great names of haute couture: Dior, Balmain, Givenchy, Chanel and especially Christian Lacroix.

In 1992, the school of Lesage embroidery opened its doors in rue de la Grange-Batelière 13.

Mr Lesage's office...

In the Pre-Fall 2011 Collection of Chanel, Paris-Byzance, Lagerfeld was inspired by the Empress Theodora and the lost culture of Byzantium. He explained: "Theodora was a circus artist who became Empress, like Chanel, who was a little singer and became a fashion empress."

Lagerfeld had transformed the second-floor couture salon at the brand's iconic Rue Cambon store into a sort of Ottomanesque chill-out room  with beautiful models in beautiful suiting  decked out in gold chains, braiding, jeweled buttons, glittering stones and feathers.

Christmas trees with pretty ribbons, sweet candies in all colors, wrapped boxes, vintage cards with letters to Santa Claus... These are a few of my favourite things that remind me that Christmas is coming...
